Jimmy,
Your close-up image shows an F41 HD shock, not a standard shock. The two use a different date coding system. Also, do you know for a fact those shocks are originals as opposed to ones re-created by people who do such things these days?

Sorry Gary,
Had these on file with others when I was trying to find what original shocks looked like, as far as date codes, manufacturer and correct color. No I can not verify if they are originals.Jimmy

Thanks Don. That's what I wanted to see. What is the light color in the groves of the letters and numbers? Wax or something else to make the letters stand out visually?

Jimmy,
Not to worry. I suspect like you, I have lots of photos of various Corvette parts that I've found over the years and I don't have a good system for keeping track of where I got what photo.

I misspoke when criticizing the photo of the date stamping in the latest edition of the '66 TIM&JG. The photo of the date stamping is perfectly readable. I don't know why I thought it was a blur. My brain was the only blur.
