64-5 SHP/FI Dipstick

I have 3 SHP/FI 64/5 oil dipsticks, chrome handles, stampings on the gauge all the same, etc., EXCEPT that one has a half twist in the gauge wire itself, about 6" down from the handle. The other 2 are straight. Is the half twist typical of production at some time or has it been done by a prior owner for some reason or ?

Loren, Basically the 63 and '64 dip stick are quite similiar except for the rubber cup on the '64 versus the chrome curved washer, etc on the '63.
My 63 has no twist. A NOS '64 stick I sold to a member here had no twist.
One of the hardest parts to find for my 63 FI engine was the dipstick. Bought it from Curt Eldridge in old days. John
