61 Fuelie Dipstick Length

I am trying to determine if the car has the correct dipstick. The car has the original 61 Fuelie oil pan, but the dipstick reads 1 qt low when the engine has 5 qts of oil in it. The overall length is 22" as show in the photo. Can some please advise if this is the correct dipstick or what to look for?

The important dimensions are these:

seat to "full" mark-----19-9/16"

seat to "add" mark-----20-21/64"

The factory oil pan on this C1 Corvette engine is 5 quarts capacity + 1 quart for the oil filter. Total 6 quart system.
