What fasteners are used for the 1970 door window's outer moulding and seal?

And where can I get them?

See photo of seal and moulding below-

    - AIM shows screw pn 476784, 2 per side (in green below)

    - AIM shows screw pn 9418719, 1 per side. But Wilcox Corvette's website shows a diagram for 78-82 that uses this fastener 2 per side (in yellow below)

    - What's used for the orange hole (1 per side) and blue slots (3 per side)?

Dr. Rebuild shows their PN 1071063, which is 4 self-tapping phillips screws (for 1 car; 2 per side). But it's not clear which holes these are for. See http://shop.docrebuild.com/1969-1982CorvetteOuterWindowSealMountScrewSetReplacesGM 9414711.aspx

Nothing found on the websites of the other major parts suppliers, although I haven't called them yet.

I misplaced my original fasteners, so that's making this hard.

I'm sure this is covered in another thread somewhere, but no luck with the Forum's search tool. It pulled up all kinds of unrelated stuff, including a thread about Joe Lucia's '68 Chevelle.

    Mark,
I have always seen two screws. What do you find by looking at the top of your door? That would be where I would start.

Each door has 14 holes that line up with all the holes/slots in the moulding as shown in the photo. The 6 red holes are used by the push-fit tangs on the seal, so that leaves 8 holes per door that need a fastener.

The holes in the doors for the blue slots in the moulding are obstructed by the inner door frame. A screwdriver wouldn't work, but a 1/4" drive socket/ratchet may fit. So I'm wondering if these 3 fasteners per door were hex head.

Does someone know a source for these fasteners? Or at least know their size and configuration?

I've got the door apart on a 72, but I won't be back there until the 19th to check it out and get pictures or descriptions.
I can tell you that your current trim piece seems to be missing a matching part with push-in fasteners.

Thanks Patrick. I look forward to learning what you find on your '72.

I have the part (outer seal) shown in your link. In my photo, it's laying just below the stainless moulding, albeit a bit hard to see in detail since it's all black. Each seal has 6 push-fit tangs mentioned in post 3 (labeled "retaining tangs" in the photo; the holes for these are in red).

Are these the "push-in fasteners" you mention?

Likely so. Usually they are green in finish. See the Corvette Central link, which shows them.
