What silver should I use to paint between intake manifold and valve covers on the heads? Thanks in advance.

Dull aluminum is correct.

Bob is spot on. This '63 340HP engine still has much of it's dull aluminum paint on the manifold area where they shot the thermostat housing. That paint is gone but a few shadows remain. Even the AP bolts got hit in a few places. Hard to see in the photos but the entire front 1/4 of the manifold got paint. There are also still traces of the original aluminum paint on the chrome oil fill tube where it meets the manifold.

There are also traces of aluminum paint on top of the valve covers. It's the same dull aluminum so I'd imagine they shot those(unsure if intentional or not) when hitting the head to intake spaces.

BTW, here's the special stud, flat washe and nut for the fuel filter....

Nice pictures Richard, I even had over spray on my FI blocks. Like the fuel filter bolt ect
