I am doing a frame off restoration on a 1969 350/350 convertible. While going through the motor, found that the fuel pump was a 029N 40956. Which is not correct for a 1969 as I learned from the Forum. My question concerns the 40956. From the Forum, the 40956 is correct for a 1972 LT-1. The date code of N is for 1974? Was this pump a Service Replacement built in 1974? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks Steve

Steve------
Both of the 1970-72 LT-1 fuel pumps, the AC 40709 and AC 40956, were once-upon-a-time used to SERVICE 1968-69 Corvette small blocks. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: 40956 Fuel Pump Question
FYI - Original pump inlets on the bottom face toward the left rear wheel as opposed to the replacement fuel pump (not sure of repl. fuel pump part number) faces toward the right rear wheel.
