C-3 hood clearance situation situation !

I am intending to mount a oil (trans) cooler in front of the AC condenser in my 72. My cooler is 5" x 6.5" and 3" out from the condenser. My question is will the cooler clear the underside of the hood when open? How for down does the middle of the hood protrude when open? I ask this as I don't have a hood as of yet to take my own measurements.

I don't know if this will help as the measurement comes from a 73. With the hood open there is eight inches to the bottom of the radiator support.

Consider mounting the oil cooler on the backside of the radiator. Because of the slope of the radiator, there is a lot of clearance between the radiator and fan near the bottom. As a bonus, the cooler won't be as visible either.

Hi Mark -- Excellent suggestion for a "stock vehicle". But no can do as I have twin electric fans on the backside of the radiator.
