Tom When I had my car judged last year by Dave Heitzman, (Mechanical) he did note that my distributor hold down clamp should have been a blackened steel not painted engine color. As for the bolt I had a plain head bolt. There has been several claims on what it should be, but I think as long as it is period correct, there is probably no deduction. In the Bob Baird book he claims it should be a "TR" however the judging manual says lists a couple of them but no "TR". The TIMJG is quite old so maybe the new one will have different information. I found a "TR" in Carlisle so that wants on the car now.

Tom, Clamp is blackened. When new they looked like a bluish color-almost black.(black is fine). Bol is
A recessed head: WB over 1C. I imagine there are other logos but I don't know what they are
Bolt is very short. Length of threads is about 5/8".
Look in "The Driveline". See Richard Fortiers ad. His is 100% perfect and less than $10.00
It's been a struggle throughout the years finding out the various logos for '57 to '65 distr clamp bolts. John
