66 hood support? Who supplies they most correct?

I have been looking at Paragon and Long Island websites, they both have hood supports that claim to be correct. Is there a better supplier or are they selling the same one, and there is only 1 supplier?
I also can clean up my old one but will be losing condition points on it.

William, I agree with Loren. The reproduction hood supports will hang up and not function as an original. You will be disappointed. You can carefully tighten up your original then have it replated. You can also send your original to be restored.

For some reason the hood support has never been reproduced to replicated the action of the original.

William, I found that the reproduction support from long island did not work as the factory,and sent it back. but found that Paragon Corvette sold one that works just fine. Hope this helps.
