Can I get my idler arm and tie rods from Autozone?

Trying to get the front end of the 69 together and I'm wondering if there is a difference between the idler arm and tie rods that the restorers sell and the stuff I can get at Autozone. Would prefer to be able to get them today and install them than wait for them to be shipped in. Appreciate your thoughts.

    Michael,
Are you looking for judging correctness or serviceability? Good old Moog heavy duty front end parts can't be beat for your car and should be readily available from your local parts house.

In terms of configuration, the best you can do is NOS. A close second best would be reproduction. Aftermarket SERVICE parts are not configured like the originals and will certainly fool no judges (I hope, anyway).

In terms of functionality, aftermarket are just fine. Use a high quality brand like Moog and you'll be all set for as long as you're ever going to need them. In fact, probably longer than the next guy is going to need them.

thanks guys. I'm interested in having the car judged one day but not worth the energy/time to track down NOS stuff. Think I'll go with the repop stuff.
