63-67 Bumper Nuts 7/16 thread 5/8"

Does anyone have a source for the 5/8" bumper nuts for 63-67?

The 11/16" Bumper nuts 7/16 thread are everywhere and incorrect for the bumper application but 5/8" nuts are hard to find.

I've heard and seen that they are black. Is that so/typical?

Rich,

Original bumper nuts were cad plated and now the ones found are zinc plated which may or not be brighter. Just depends on the plater and how old his chemicals are at the time of plating.

PS. And yes, the front lower bumper nuts (4) were black phosphate along with the grade 8 WB bolts.

I got reproduction bolt kits for a '67 a while back. They included clear a full set of zinc plated 5/8" ATF nuts and also a full set of 11/16"" ATF nuts, which were black. These in addition to the 4 for the front lower mounts.
