1959 seat belt lever color

I have an early 1959 built in December 1958. The seat belts that I bought from Snakee-Oil have Hamertone colored levers. I heard that early 59's should be interior color and am looking for better documentation about my belts.
My selection was based on information from a book "Corvette Seatbelts 1956-1976 by Barbara Spear". was my choice incorrect?
Can someone help me with my concerns?

Anthony, my serial # is in the low 4000 range and the buckles are red to match the interior. Not sure if this is early enough for you. Documented 3 owner car.

Thanks for the reply buy my car is in the 2200 range. This still leaves me guessing as to what was used on December 18th of 58. I am the second owner.
