question...should the metal clips (that hold wiring) under header panel have paint on them,and is the starter brace bolt to block(on 427) cad (zinc) or phosphate...thx keith

My original clips had a black rubber coating on them.

A portion of the clip is rubber coated-not the stud portion.

Good explanation at this search thread. Picture below shows green zinc (see lower left one) and rubber dipped.
