Unidentified 1960's ? Carb to intake manifold stud with vacuum hose connection

I have a 2 1/8" long carb to intake manifold stud that has a hole thru its center that was also used to connect to a vacuum hose. I do not believe it ever had a Corvette application. I removed it from a Chevrolet back in the late 1960's or maybe the 1970's. I just do not remember what model of Chevrolet it came from.

    Does anyone know its application?

      Mike,

I do have a 1962 Corvette Assembly Manual and after thumbing thru it I did find the stud to be part # 3749170 in sect. 396 (327 Spec. H.P. and H.P.). Upon further investigation I did find part # 3749170 in my 1963 Chevrolet Parts Catalog (Oct. 1962) in Gr. 3.288. The stud is described as 5/16-18-24X 2 5/32" which matches. The Corvette applications are listed as 58-61 Corvette w/P.G. and 62 Corvette (exc. F.I.). The stud also has applications to various 58-62 Chevrolet Pass. models.

      Thanks,

      Dave

mike: On my "60" with a pg trans this is the left rear carb stud connected to the vacuum advance on the distributor with a rubber hose.

I just removed a carb from a very early 60 4 speed car. it has the same stud as in the picture, however its ageded and look like it may have been originally cad plated. My 59 PG car has the same stud on the original intake.
