We were a BOP plant (Buick Olds Pontiac Assembly Division) at the time and went under GMAD (General Motors Assembly Division) control sometime later in the '60's. There was some variation across the assembly divisions but all used some form of broadcast/build sheet/manifest/run sheet to define build components since the early '60's or before. So I'm sure St. Lewis was using some form of broadcast sheet in '67.

A favorite saying on the engine dress line used to be "if all else fails, read the manifest" in the context of wrong parts being assembled on a specific engine.
    Michael -

I started at Willow Run in '64, and they (and all Chevrolet assembly plants) used Body and Chassis broadcast sheets; St. Louis did too, but they were extremely efficient at "de-papering" each unit of internal-only paperwork before shipment. I saw those Chevrolet Broadcast copies every day when I worked there in 1967, but have only seen one since.

St. Louis was absorbed into GMAD (General Motors Assembly Division) in 1971, and shortly thereafter adopted the GMAD production control system, which included the landscape-style single build manifest.

And here is the Chassis Broadcast Copy. Some of the same information is on both sheets.

Many thanks for some excellent input from a bunch of people! I enjoy still learning and being challenged to learn, even after 42 years in the hobby! FWIW, attached are a pair of 1971 Chevelle build sheets from under the back seat cushion. 1 from the one I bought new, another from a car 367 earlier.
