Re: 63 weatherstripping glue
All original 63's I have ever seen had the original yellow that had turned a nice brownish color after all these years. Never saw anything else unless restored incorrectly and that has happened. As a note the original was applied with a brush and pretty sloppy by the expert union workers.

I wonder how much less sloppy it would have been applied if the workers had been non-union.

Re: 63 weatherstripping glue
Robert,
If you're like me you want a spread sheet with all the weatherstripping IDed and if glue cement was used, not sure if that's out there, but if you go through the AIM for a 63 wherever there is a weatherstrip used it will inc on the same page cement was used / listed as a part number on the bill of materials used - as previous comments yellow M3 is the the closest you're get - sounds like a sit down with a couple of beers to see what did or what didn't have adhesive.

Re: 63 weatherstripping glue
There is no glue under the L weatherstrip on my doors of my original paint Jan 64 car. Except that which dribbled when they were brushing glue for the main weatherstrip. The dribble extends over the top of the top hinge to a puddle on the top of the lower hinge..... ?
messy much? Yeah!

Re: 63 weatherstripping glue
You could try the Assembly Manual, which shows every part on the car, including the weatherstrip glue, which is called out in each illustration where it was originally specified.- Top

Re: 63 weatherstripping glue
John has it nailed! You can find what your looking for on page C108 of the assembly manual. Calls for 4.64oz on the 837 and 2.32oz on the 867. Brushed on with wide strokes and dark brown after 50+ years.
