54 Soft Top Lid Latch Mounting Screws

    54 Soft Top Lid Latch Mounting Screws

    Does anyone know if these chrome slotted screws are original: they appear to have chrome or stainless washers too? The judging manual states they should be clutch head but I haven't seen those either. I haven't looked at many other cars in this area so I can't be certain which is correct. This is an early 54.

      every one I have seen has been a countersunk clutch head - no washer

          Thanks Chris. I suspected you might set me straight.

          I've never judged interior on 53-55 and all the photos I've seen have the seat back in the way.

              Is the surface of the screwhead even with the surface the side of the center tower or is the screwhead slightly recessed?

                  Normally slightly recessed - as it was tightened into the waterfall
                  I will see if I have a photo.
