Trying to figure out the correct cassette tape for my 90

I have been trying to find the correct demo cassette tape for my 1990 Delco/Bose Gold system. The JG on page 49 list "Delco-Bose demonstration tape" as one of the items in the center console. Below I have two pics showing some of the cassette tapes I have obtained so far.

The first cassette is part of the delivery system for which I have an 87 and 89. I also got one that the seller states it was for the 1990 but I have yet been able to verify it. The other 3 have no specific year on the inserts that I can tell although the song range from late 70's, early 80's and late 80's. The second pic is the last one I just recently purchase and awaiting shipping.

Since I have not been able to find any true documentation does anyone know or better yet have pics of the cassette tape that came with their car. I'm sure I'm not the only one that has come across this issue.

Ken, your best bet is to e-mail Tom Barr and ask him. He is one of the the team leaders for C4s.

Hi Ed

Thanks for the lead I'll sure drop him a line. I guess you have to know the right people to get good answers LOL. There is a lot of misleading information out there from what I have found searching the web. Little things like this bug the hell out of me until I find the right answer. Just trying to find a pic of what you are looking for is nearly impossible. When I'm done I plan on putting together a list with pics of what each item should look like. But like Wayne Carini said "It's all about the chase".

From the looks of you pic I have all 3 and then some. I seen different post of different pics of what the cassette should look like. All the book said is "Delco-Bose demonstration tape" for which there are many of them. It's enough to drive a man to drink LOL. I can only image what the various judges accept. I wish the JG had more photo that would show the specific item. It would eliminate a lot of confusion. It's hard enough trying to find these items but even harder trying to find a picture so you know what it is you are looking for.

Tom Barr said that none of them are the right ones. He is going to dig up a pic of the correct one for us. In the meantime I'd still like to figure out, with the exception of the delivery system tapes which are year specific, what year the other ones are for.

Folks, I just went back into my stuff and for your information the first photo that I sent with the tapes and other related information came from a 1990 ZR1 that never went into Dealer Prep. I have about 50 photos of that ZR1.

I do believe you are correct. I found the web page that your pic came from. I put the link below if you don't have it. It is for a 1990 ZR-1 with 26 miles that was up for sale at $59,900. There are a lot of good pics of the car in its delivered state.

I just download most of the pictures for future reference. After looking at those seats I realized just how old my leather looks. They don't have that soft feel to them. If only I had won the power ball LOL.

Also I've been exchanging emails with Tom Hendricks this morning with regards to the cassette tape issue. He's putting on his thinking cap. Great guy.
