    '54 Trunk Weatherstripping Question

I finished painting the underside of the trunk and want to install new weatherstripping (the original was not on the trunk). Can someone tell me where the seam is supposed to be? Is it at the latch or at the back? Thanks!

The weatherstrip begins and ends at the latch!

Joe - just make sure you have the strip on correctly - it is possible to put it on incorrectly
Also for glue I use Welbond contact cement - if getting the car judged - be sloppy - takes time and patience
I do about 3 to 5 inches at a time - then tape it down - a helper it nice to have....
Then shut the lid - that will help the lid form the strip

Gents, thanks again. You have been extremely helpful. It may be considered 'over restored' at judging but it looks good. Appreciate the help.
