    1971 Gas Pedal Attachment

I have lost the metal plate that keeps the gas pedal arm in the plastic swivel under the dash. Was wondering if someone has a picture of one or could take a picture so I know what I am looking for. Also does anyone know where I could find one. can,t find a repo so far.

    Thanks
    Sheldon

The plate was GM #3972621 but it's long-since GM-discontinued. It is a very simple piece and could likely be fabricated from a piece of flat steel stock. I'm sure you could obtain one from used Corvette parts sources. This is not really a wear part so a used one should be as good as a new one.

I have an NOS example [not for sale] but I can't find it right now. However, below is an excerpt from the AIM. It generally shows the configuration of the plate. It is flat. The hole at the bottom is slotted. Pretty simple piece. It's #9 in the diagram.
