1965 Tires and wheels

I have a 65 convertible vet and am looking to purchase bias ply tires and steel wheels for it.

I have the hubcaps and spinners.

MY questions: best place to buy and what brand do you buy for a 65 vet? Firestone or a different brand?

The original wheels were GM #3869156. Reproductions of this wheel are available from Corvette parts vendors like Dr. Rebuild. Whether they are 100% accurate in every nuance of detail, I don't know.

For reproduction tires, I prefer the Goodyear tires available from Kelsey Tire. However, the Firestones available from Coker are OK.

If you are going to drive it, consider radial tires, there is NO comparison. If you plan to have it judged and little to no driving, then the bias plys are fine. Good luck, Don H.
