    Correct Thermostat 1970 350 300hp

    Hello:
    Does anyone know what temperature thermostat the factory installed in my 1970 350 300hp engine?

      1970 Corvette 350 300hp engine used 180 thermostat. This should be specified in the owners manual. If you do not have one they can be bought through the NCRS store.

          Yes, for 1970 all Corvette engines used a 180 degree thermostat EXCEPT LT-1. The LT-1, because it was equipped with AIR exhaust emissions control, used a 195 degree thermostat.

                  GM # 3156280 was the GM part number for the Delco Harrison 180 degree thermostat. GM # 3156280 was replaced by GM # 3015490 in May 1972. I had several NOS 3156280 thermostats but sold all of them a few years ago.
