    Question
    What was in place before paint?
    Seat plates that bolt to the floor ?
    The conv top brackets - top and bottom ?
    The big plates behind the seats?
    Cant find a good photo prior to paint

          And... what wrong with being helpful and supplying someone with a correct answer
          This is the reason people run from NCRS
          This is a hobby - and the purpose of NCRS is to help one other - at least in my mind
          Funny - I posted this on another forum and got a couple nice helpful replies

              Not sure about the seat brackets on the floor, but I'm pretty certain the other things you listed were installed on the car. Here's a picture of my 1960 interior and it passed Regional and National judging with no comments on the interior paint scheme. can't recall, but I do not believe I had the seat mount brackets attached on the floor when the interior was sprayed. Those would be pretty difficult to see. I had all the soft top brackets, the large support plates and the seat belt anchor stuff installed when the interior was painted.

              The other things that were on the car when painted were the seat belt hambones. Another good source of restoration information for the 58-60 is the 1958-60 Corvette Restoration Handbook. It also get into other paint stuff like inside the gas lid and some underhood stuff that got paint and/or overspray.

                  Chris, I restored an original unmolested '59 in 1983. I have the photos from the restoration. I'll and see if I can find ones of the disassembled interior and send it to you. Stay Tuned!
