Just went over for one day today, spent about 5 hours browsing the tents . . . LOTS of C1, C2 & C3 cars. There were at least ten 1953-1955s, probably just as many 1956-57s, and maybe a dozen 1958-1962s. I lost count of the C2s - too many to count. It looked like at least half of them (if not more) met their reserves, and the top bids on most of the "The Bid Goes On" unsold cars were in many cases at least decent. Bidding appeared to be strong on quality cars, but as always, you REALLY needed to know what you were looking at. All in all a fun day - cool and windy but still fun. Mecum has their act together pretty well on how to run an event . . . it's up to you to make it worth your while. Do your homework, invest the time, and know what you're buying. There were some pretty good buys out there, at least today.

Re: Mecum Kissimmee 2016
The '63 Z-06 tanker was very nice, but not perfect. While it's hard to call anything a good buy at those prices, they buyer seemed happy and that's really all that counts, I guess.
And as far as cold, well, there's cold, and then there's Florida cold. I'm from upstate New York, where "cold" means 15 or 20 below zero for a week or more on end. Today in Kissimmee it was high 50s and cloudy, with a fresh breeze all day. I wore a light jacket and was very comfortable - Florida natives were bundled up like Eskimos and freezing to death. Oh, well.- Top
