    Joe
your input is always appreciated. I have owned the 67 since 1969 and over the years I have come to recognize that typical doesn't mean absolutly without any deviation. My early production model has a number of atypical parts and applications most of which I have left as found. Perhaps my alternator pulleys fall into the atypical category or maybe when the original alternator crapped out years ago I turned in the core for a rebuilt one and the pulleys weren't transferred over. When I restored the car I mostly reused what I had unless worn out, damaged, or an obvious non original replacement part.
Best wishes for a Happy Holiday

      Neal,
Merry Christmas to you, as well. I'm wondering if what you have correlates to what Joe has been saying all along. Yours being an early '67 could easily have the two piece pulley as was on the '66 with C60 and N40. Joe is of the belief that the one piece pulley, as appears on my car, was a late '67 piece and quite unusual but certainly correct for the application. My car (20830) was a June 14 build and I am hoping that someone with a car built around the same time with the same options could post pictures of their alternator pulley/fan setup. Again, thank you for your input.

My '67 L79 has factory C60. If I want to add factory type PS, what would I need in way of pulleys, belts, etc.? Different alternator bracket or spacer? Do any of the vendors off a complete kit that would be as close as possible to factory original ?
        Thanks

Well, if you want to have an original pulley configuration, you'd have to change the waterpump, crank, power steering pump, and alternator pulleys. You'd also have to change the alternator brace. If you would be OK with a pulley configuration that "would work" using some existing pulleys I can't advise because such an effort would be trial and error.

I don't know of any p/s conversion kit that would include the pulleys you need. In fact, the kits I'm aware of usually contain few, if any, pulleys. This is probably due to the myriad of configurations that a power steering conversion could involve. So, I'd say you'd need to obtain a conversion kit, plus, separately, the individual pulleys and alternator brace you would need.

sounds plausible to me. My valve covers don't have a casting flaw in them and my original door cards were slightly different than the "typical" 67 door cards(stamped Sept 6, 1966). Al Knock made an exact reproduction set for me using my original steel inserts. Anyway I digressed from the thread.

Thanks Joe. Sounds like too much sugar for the nickel . I'll just continue to get my workout with my Armstrong power steering.
