    FUEL LINE touching RADIATOR HOSE

Although I still have questions relating to the original fuel pump to fuel line (leading to carburetor) connection for 1966 427/425hp cars, another concern is the METAL fuel line up against (touching) the lower radiator hose.
Is this "just the way it is" or am I doing something wrong?
    Any advice would be appreciated.

something amiss. fuel line in contact with lower radiator hose needs corrected. if the line and its fittings are correct, then try loosening the hose to water pump clamp, then rotate the hose to pump interface. there ought to be at least a 1/4" gap between hose and line . mike

I agree, something isn't right. This is a local friend's '66 425HP(now residing in CT). No top view but I remember looking at the FP closely and it's hard line was away from the lower rad hose.

Jim, can you take a pic of the FP from up top and show the issue. Maybe you have a home-made fuel line and that's the problem. Mike's twist-the-hose idea is a good one.

Re: FUEL LINE touching RADIATOR HOSE

Thank you, Rich and Mike, for the reply to my question about the L72 fuel line. This is a restoration project and thus many parts have been replaced.
The replacement radiator hose (lower) was a little bit too long at both ends so I've trimmed a little off and I believe this will give me about 1/4" air space between the fuel line and radiator hose.
I don't have the radiator back in yet. Once I do if there is still an issue I'll take some pictures and re-reply.
Thanks again for your time and knowledge! And since I don't really know how to reply on these threads, we'll see what happens with I hit submit.
