Hi Dave,

I found a gif using the 56 starter brace #3721553 and it shows a longer starter motor stud for the starter end plate.......oh jeeze, NOW what do I do?

That stud is on the end of the LONG through bolt which is on nearly EVERY GM Delco style starter. It is an EXTREMELY common bolt, common to MOST starters. Your friendly neighborhood starter/alternator shop probably has a bucket full of those bolts.
