Mark- Yes P.O.P. is great to document the drive train- I just wish all other options were also listed-This is a real P48 car, but I would have to have an original window sticker, shipper's copy, or build sheet- etc. to "prove" that fact. (All I have, other than conversations with previous owners back to and including the original owner, is the original rear storage cover with the original carpet, labels, and wheel removal / install instructions.)
    Where are the GM documents??
Might be a "political" thing- Would make some owners very happy, and some owners VERY sad.
    Regards- E.J.

A one page article in the Restorer reports on a GM inspired search for such documents. Art Armstrong was the author and perhaps it was in Volume 28... I will dig it back out.
Not much was found back then, except for 2.5 years of "production records". These were between 76 and 78 if I read this correctly.

EDIT: It was page 9 of Volume 27, Number 3 (Winter 2001). I cannot claim that I remembered this article from 2001. I just happened to stumble across it last week, as I was looking for Al Grenning's two example articles. Al G. described the paperwork from ordering a Corvette to shipping documents and the stuff in between. One article was about a well documented 1965 425 HP black Corvette. (I think his two articles were the stuff I remembered as in volume 28.)
