    c2 BW trans ID

My friend recently obtained a bw t10 dated 6-19-63 side plate it has wk3132 stamped on main case. Was told it was from corvette. He doesn't want to use it in another project if it belongs in a corvette
    Thanks John G

John, A T10 with that date on it is after GM started using Monsey transmissions. If it was a Corvette Transmission next to the WK3132 would be the VIN derivative number from the Corvette it was installed in originally.

Harry's right, it's a T-10 built for service and assembled Oct 31, 1963 by the second shift.

I agree that it's a service transmission or from another vehicle still using the T-10. Keep in mind if it's a service transmission for a Corvette the internal parts could have some value depending on the condition.

            John------

If it has a cast iron main case, then it's a 1957-61 T-10. It's even possible that it's not even a transmission for a GM application. T-10's were also used for other auto manufacturers.

Buick used iron case T-10's thru the 1965 model year...

              Hope this helps... Eric
