We have TSA Precheck also. Not sure why supplying a middle name or paying $70 makes you less of a risk but not much the government dose do. No one can stop the crazies no mater what government dose it's just to make us feel better like gun control.

If you fly 1st class, you automatically get TSA Precheck.

To answer the questions posed:
1) why was this posted since it's not Technical
- Florida Regional is 2 weeks away and there were 5 States driver's licenses that were not good for boarding airplanes

2) DHS today released the following information:

Driver's licenses will be valid for travel identification in any state until the deadline. A passport could always be used as an alternative form of identification.
