pertronix ignitor II 12 volt wiring
Is there someone who can understand and reply to me about the ignition, solenoid and module wiring for the ignitorII and the flamethrowerII coil. I have the diagram of the 3 types of wiring.

Just connect the red wire from the ignitor module (from the distributor) to the positive lug on the coil, and the black wire from the ignitor module to the negative lug on the coil. Re-connect your ignition red wire to the positive lug on the coil. Now, stay with me so you don't get confused: simply use a jumper wire from one lug on the ballast resistor to the other lug. This will give you the 12 volt input to the coil with the ignition switch in either the START or ON position. That is what you need. That's the way I did it and you can wrap the jumper wire around the back of the ballast resistor so it's not so obvious to the "snoopies".

That's EXACTLY how I always hook the Pertronix IIs and IIIs up. The jumper wire behind the ballast resistor makes the change pretty much undetectable.Comment
