Has any of the Route 66 Tv show C1s or C2s been identified or located?

Has any of the C1s or C2s used in the TV show Route 66 been identified or located?

I understand that they used several per season. I also have read that there was tow attachment mounted to the front of the Corvette to allow the camera car to tow it when the actors in the car were performing for the camera. I wonder if an attachment for this towing arrangement would be an indication that the Corvette was a movie car.

I wonder if a member has one of these Corvettes? Anyone have one that has aftermarket wire wheels with knockoff hubs-seen in the first season?

There was a fawn beige/white '61 that was sold on eBay a few years ago that claimed to have been used on the show. It appeared to have documentation to back up the claim. It had stock wheels and hubcaps and it didn't sell for much more than any other nicely restored '61 as I recall.

As seeing many episodes of this series and having the series on CD I can tell you one of the 61 or 62s was a solid lifter car.The camera and scene was a close up shot of Tod started the engine and was driving away and you could hear the ligters. If you watch the series closlely you can see some shots where the car is a 4 or three speed car.Tod is shifting and the hand brake is being applied. As I understand things mics were placed in the dash board to pick up their voices when on the road talking.
