While shopping AC oil filters, I noticed a new-to-me model, the PF1218CL Professional Classic Design Engine Oil Filter. Isn't that a cool name for an oil filter?
Any comments about how it compares to the garden variety PF1218 and PF35L?
Below are excerpts from the Amazon listings. Maybe the CL has a different shell and a steel core? But it looks like it may have cellulose media, while I understand the PF35L has "synthetic" media (although its description doesn't mention that).
PF1218CL Professional Classic Design Engine Oil Filter:
PF1218:
[My note: Not clear- 20-25% smaller than what? 10 times more open area than what?]
PF35L:
[My note: 1218 has 98% single-pass filtering vs. PF35's 98% multi-pass filtering. Does this mean oil needs to pass through the PF35 multiple times to achieve this level of filtering?]
