Wow, that's pretty darn original Ralph! Good shot of the PCV connection.
take note that there aren't any clamps holding the hoses to the PCV valve !
    thanks Alan ,

      Hi Jimmy,
I noticed the lack of clamps too so I blew that part of the picture up a bit.
Many nice details showing in that photo!!!
      Happy New Year!
      Regards,

Yes it is nice to see an L48. What about that wing nut on the AC? Don't think that's right though.
I always think it's a shame the way that AC seal always looks on the originals. It takes away from the engine. It's always the first thing that catches your eye on the 73-75's.

The wing nut on the air cleaner is original it looks like chrome but it must have been the flash on the camera.

            Ralph,
Thank you for having Alan post the pictures. I'm making sure to save these for future reference. So, then the wing nuts on the 73 were not black?
            is this your car Ralph?
            regards.

                Ralph,
It's amazing to me that you've left it alone and did not try to repaint any thing. I don't think I could have been that disciplined over the years. I'm sure there are many other original owners out there that have kept their cars the same way. I wonder if you wouldn't mind taking a photo of the other side of the engine, and one close up of the wing nut, and a couple without the air cleaner. Maybe you or Alan could Private Message me the photos instead of posting them here, because we are getting away from the original post. Do you reply to PMs if I would have questions in the future?
They say " a picture is worth a thousand words", this very true in the case, especially for me trying to restore my 73 L48. Most of my fellow 73 contacts either have the 454 or the L82. There is no rush, but there are so many details here.
Thanks so much to both you and Alan!
                Best Regards,
                Jimmy

                  Hi Jimmy,
Here're 3 more pictures from Ralph.
They look to be quite a 'goldmine' for a 73 restorer!
                  Regards,

Thank you both so much. How about that "Double GM Part # Stamp" on the original radiator hose. I've never seen one like that on a reproduction hose! Look where its located, at the thermostat end, most or all the Repros I've seen, have that stamp up toward the radiator.

Let me know if you need any additional pictures. I have a top flighted 73 L48 and a L82. I think the only way you will find an original hose like that is to walk Carlisle over several years and find it in someones take off pile.

Look again. There is a clamp holding the hose to the PCV valve. None at the T though.

                          Russ,
Yes, I did see that clamp. Just like yours. I was drawing attention to the hoses attached to the "T" not having the clamps because the JM says there should be clamps on both hoses at the T. Which is not correct for the 73. Thats why I ask you to email me pics of your original car. Ralph's original L48 pics above confirms this too.

                          Charles,
I appreciate your offer for more photos. Yes, I agree that original hose is not going to be easy to find. But I'll keep looking. That's part of the fun😊
                          Thanks guys!

Jimmy, I realize you knew that but I was drawing attention to the comment of no clamps at the PCV valve just for clarification for future info searchers who might see this post and take it wrong
