73 L48 Carb to PCV Valve Hose Availability???

Does anyone know if the correct hose that goes from the front of the Q-jet to the PCV valve on my 73 L48 is available for purchase? It should have "3/8 GM 6107 M-KV" on it in white. The hose on my car is a generic one. Not having much luck with any vendors

Jim, I am not sure if doc rebuild sell the marked hose as you state but he does have a molded PCV hose with a slight bend to go around the thermostat housing. my 72 has been through regional judging with my pcv hose and no question arose.

I did check with him, he doesn't have the 73 hose. He does sell a kit for the 73, but the hose doesn't have the correct markings. The JM says that the hose should have the graphics I described above. I've seen the hoses you describe with the bend. CC had the hose up to 72. Paragon didn't have one either.

Jim, I have seen a few guys buy the rubber stamp to mimic the stamp, you may need to find the correct size font or just go by the seat of you pants. use the Rubber stamp champ. should come on a search. I have had a few stamps made for my 72 and my 63.

Jim, You never know something may show, but a original will be next to imposable, Back when I worked as a GM tech, this was one of the first hoses to fail, because oil broke down the rubber in the PCV hoses.

Thanks man, I really appreciate your concern and help with different suggestions. If I can't find something will I be better off removing the lettering that's on mine, and leaving it all black, or doesn't it really matter for judging? Probably be the same slight deduct either way.. Not a big deal I guess. Just another one of those little things I'm spending too much time worrying over, right??
Never expected this hose to be that hard to find. They reproduce everything today for the vettes, can't imagine someone not doing these yet.
Must not be that much in demand I guess.

Yes.

Nope. You know how many 73 owners care about the stamp? Very few. For most, a plain piece of black hose fits the bill.
As mentioned above, if you really want to have it, get a stamp made and go for it. You can probably sell it and get your $ back. I would look at 73 Corvettes via Google images and eBay to see if you can find an example to copy.

Here is the only PCV hose ever available from GM and it's still available. Does it have the same markings as the original hose? No way. Hose specifications and GM specs have changed over the years. So, GM hoses have the CURRENT specs, not the ones from 40 years ago.

So, can I go to my local dealership tomorrow, and pick one of these up? I have two within 5 mins of me.
I think its time for me to put the JM away. Take it for its worth as a reference and move on to something else.

Call each one first with the part number. The price may vary significantly.
Also, the same part is sold by parts catalogs for Corvette, Chevy, Olds, etc. I used one on my 70 Cutlass.

That's what I'll do if I decide to go with the GM one. Or I might just clean the lettering from mine and be done with it. It is in like new condition. My smaller hose going to the vacuum tank is correct. I've located a correct PCV Valve, and I have the correct clamps too. So I should be ok.
CC has this one pictured below listed for cars up to 72' for $13.00.

I always deduct for dot matrix printing like that as well as dates well after the car was built. If you buy reproduction radiator hoses, for example, they have current dates on the bottom. If I see that you lose points, so always remove it.
