    73 L48 Correct Evaporative System/PCV Hose Routing?

I'm now going to replace the large hose that runs from the front of the carb base to the PCV valve with the correct hose and clamps, but I'm not sure my hoses, PCV Valve, or T, are as they should be. Tried to look for photos in the archives and all my reference materials including the AIM , but can't find good pictures of the correct routing for the L48. the car runs fine as is, but I'd like to get it as correct as possible.I'm just seeing the BB and L82 engines pictured. I'm not sure if the L82 would have all the hoses connected the same. Also, there is a plug in the rear port of my carb, and I notice that some have a natural steel line coming out with a vacuum hose connected to it running down to the canister? I did see a plug shown on the rear of the carb in the AIM. Posting a photo of how mine is routed for reference. Maybe it is correct? (FYI- I have removed the black plastic wire ties, since this photo was taken.)
Thanks for any help or photos.

    Jimmy,

The large port in the back of the carburetor is for power brakes. A power brake car has a steel tube from the back of the carb to a rubber hose which connects to the brake booster.

      Thanks John,
That answers that, I should have realized that one😱. It just seems to me that it's too busy at the" T"on my PCV.

By the way, the tabs on the valve cover were for plastic clips to hold the wire for the carb idle solenoid...at least that's how it is on my BB 73. Every thing else in your pic looks pretty standard except for the black zip ties.

Yes, I did make those corrections too, the black clips on the L48 just hold the solenoid wire. This picture was early in my restoration process. I guess I'm ok then?
          thanks again,

I think the PCV Valve is the problem. Don't think it is the correct type for he 73, after reading past threads and looking for it in the vendor catalogs. Mine has the black plastic elbow attached to it. The 73 should just be a straight up valve. How does the plastic "T" attach to the valve?

The T doesn't attach to the PCV valve. The short hose that you have coming from the T stands up vertically and plugs into the PCV valve.
