Re: 1964 Coupe 365 HP Frame Off Restored
If you want a great driver/show car, this one sounds perfect. If you want to take it to judging, and don't want to spend $15K repainting a new paint job, it can still be a Top Flight after losing 85 points for the color and probably more (45 points or so max) for the paint finish, etc. in body paint section, (if the paint is a beautiful, deep multi-stage BC/CC that is glossy everywhere and you get the dreaded "over-restored" judging result) if all the rest of the car is typical factory production in appearance and everything works. But, that is a lot of points to lose right off the bat. The color change is a real issue on value. I would reduce the price at least $20K for that, but I suspect the owner would not agree unless he is a "motivated" seller.
