    Bill Williamson

Our good friend and long time Illinois NCRS member Bill Williamson passed away this afternoon after suffering a heart attack on Friday Dec.18th. Bill was known for his vast knowledge of 65 396 corvette's, Bill will be missed by many in the hobby. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, may god bless you.

So very sad to hear the news of Bill's passing. What a wonderful guy. I have known Bill for a number of years. He was a frequent contributor to this discussion board and I know that he was in the midst of restoring one of his beautiful 396 cars. This news is a real shot in the gut. My best thoughts and prayers to Bill's family.

A good guy. I remember the article he did in the Restorer years ago about the 65 he found behind a fence. I remember even more the hospitality that he and Dave Dawdy extended me when I visited St. Louis. RIP Bill.

It is often said, you never know what you had until it is gone. Bill was a true friend, a great painter that received numerous awards from GM, a true 396 lover, most importantly a guy who loved to share the hobby with
friends. He will be missed by all who's path he crossed.

God Speed my friend, say high to our buddies that departed before you for us.

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

                        Roy

Bill wasn't a come lately Corvette guy...It was in his blood for a life time like some of us...I first met him in the 60's when he was restoring a 62 then later connected with him thru this forum Dave Dawdy and emails....I'll miss his posts , I was looking forward to seeing the 396 finished.
