    Enzo,

I think all C-2s headlight switches are the same. If that is the case then there is a spring loaded button on the bottom body of the switch. Push in on it and the knob will pull completely out.

First pull the shaft out as if you are turning the lights on--then depress the button and as you're pushing the button, pull the shaft out the rest of the way and it will come out of the switch. Once that is removed you will see a beveled nut that needs to be unscrewed, and you are out .

        Enzo

The attached file shows the switch from our '60 but the mechanism is similar to that of the C2 switches, i.e., you push the spring-loaded button on the bottom while you pull the stem out of the switch body. As Jim said above, pull the stem out until it stops, then push the button and continue to pull the stem out of the switch body. You might want to disconnect the battery while working with the switch.

Enzo,be sure to test the light switch to ensure all four(4) lamps will stay lite for a very LONG and extended length of time .The two re pop s I got would cycle off all lamps completely ,and after a time they would come on again ,this happened on a regular basis, long story /short switch would not handle corvette lamp load.

Francis, I installed an original piece... The one I had was a repop but worked fine. Just lost judging points is the reason why I changed it . All good now
