First things first, I just got back a little while ago from taking the car for a spin around the block in my neighborhood, and the opening and closing of the doors is back to normal.
Also, after my earlier response to Don about keeping the pads, I really looked them over again, and I'm reconsidering removing them as I originally had planned to do. I've been spending all this time and money trying to get everything else on the car back as original as possible, these need to go too. This thread has provided me with a lot of great advice from all you guys. As always it is appreciated very much. thank you!
