Re: Process to register and title a classic car (69 Corvette) in California
I just registered a Washington State vehicle yesterday at my local Woodland Hills, California AAA office. Presented signed-off out-of-state title with the DMV forms and paid the tax, title and reg fees. Clerk did the vin inspection w/me out in the parking lot and signed it off. Left w/my reg and plates. Have done this numerous times over the last few years and have never had to go to DMV for this. If you want YOM (vintage) plates you have to go to DMV, AAA cannot handle that.
