p.s. Today was a milestone in my 27 year NCRS Corvette life. I judged for the very first time after OJ'ing many many times.

I jumped in on 1967 Chassis judging(voluntarily) with a Master Level Judge(6' 2"+ tall) and had a wonderful time. However, me being 5' 7" tall, 160 lbs with a 32" waist.....guess who laid on the ground under the car in the wet grass and who had the clipboard. That's right.....the rookie.

Absolutely! Wet grass all the way. I got conscripted to do '63 exterior judging (well helping the 'real' judge anyway) for the first time...
Quite interesting.....we did 4 cars and one was a total survivor......just a great unmolested car that oozed patina...

Yes Michael, outside, but the grass was only a little wet from the morning dew. We had no rain today during the event until late afternoon after the event ended. All cars stayed dry except for a quick few hundred quick drizzle specs.

My '07 coupe got very wet on the 2 1/2 hr ride home from Orlando to Sebastian while following the front from west to east. We've had a drenching down here from late in the day and will continue overnight and yet another front tomorrow.

Yes this one. Silver Blue, Dark Blue Interior. Amazing unrestored car. I spoke to the owner. Spent most of it's life in Texas and the (edit...."Prior")owner worked for NASA.

Great event at Howey. The rain stayed away during the event. Going home @ about 3:30 PM, I hit a deluge along the Florida Turnpike.. From that point on, it rained all the way back toward Crystal River.

Nice job by the FL Chapter.

Me? I did Mech I, a little Mech II and a little Interior, all on the 65 cars....

I got conscripted by Ed a few years back to manage the clip board on C-4's. I learned a lot, and got a free T shirt as well. Last year my son had a 62 Red Fuelie there. Great fun, and the dining was good at the club house as well.

Sorry I didn't get a chance to talk with you much yesterday, Frank. I was "doing" 65's and didn't have a lot of spare time.

I assume the results will be posted. When? That I don't know. I can get the info for you, as the meet judging chairman lives near me.

I assume you're interested in the 63 results.

We did not let the overcast days deter us from doing a quick trip. Lucky for us we hit the '63 jackpot!! Lots of pictures later and I can get started on my Christmas wish list.

It is worth going to this Chapter Meet just for the generous lunch chit given to the Judges.
The meal provided at the Mission Golf Club was excellent. Of course you had to do a little work to get it, but it was worth it. It was a great time had by all. A lot of nice mid-years were present.

I join everyone else in commending the organizers of this event. It's a very nice setting, a relaxed atmosphere, and a great "tune-up" for the upcoming Winter Meet. Thanks to everyone who put it together and participated. I really enjoy attending this meet every year, and this year enjoyed even getting to bring a car to be judged.
