54 gas tank
My gas tank does not appear to be original in that it has a 3/8" tube protruding from the center of the sending unit with a hose running from there to a point under the car. Also another 1/4" opening has been added to the top of the tank. The tank has a GM sticker with 3796030. Do I need to use the vents or can I plug them. I question this because the original 54 Corvette tank has no vents, I guess relying on the vented gas cap.
