    1967 Heater box foam gaskets

    1. The AIM give part number 9981098 as Adhesive, Neoprene Solvent.
What is it? Can I substitute some 3M weatherstrip adhesive? or some sort of rubber or contact cement?

Update, The AIM lists this to use on the weatherstrip - that and about 30 other locations.

    2. Should the mechanical valve actuators on the inside heater box get some sort of lubricant?

    3. Should the heater box cables also get lubed with something?

Don I use the black 3M W/Strip adhesive for the internal seals, applied with a brush to level it out.

I never lubricate the internal linkage or pivots as the heat may cause issues. I put a touch of light viscosity oil on the external linkages.

Gentleman, I was docked a point at the Milwaukee regional on my 67. I would be interested and appreciate some pics as to where this foam gasket is placed on the heater box. Thanks
