67' 427 390 hp hood drip rail pictures

I have two pictures of the passenger side hood drip rail and I was wondering if what is depicted in the pictures is correct for the car. The one picture shows a hole with a notch next to it and the other shows a metal rivet in the sidewall of the drip rail. I'm getting ready to paint the car and was wondering if I need to correct these before i have it painted.

The rivet is correct. Not so sure on the other hole.

What was the purpose of the rivet?

To my understanding that rivet holds a wiring harness metal clip on the inside which guides the wiring down to the heater blower motor, that's how it is on my '67.

yes there is one on the other side hood gutter as well but in a diffreant location. But both hold a "J" clip to hold the wiring harness
