I'm only finding one part #3889696 for u joints. Are they the same for the prop and half shafts?

All 63-79 1/2 shaft joints are 1350 size. The driveshaft joints are either 1310 or 1330. Since many cars have had parts swapped over the years the easiest way to know is just look at the diff pinion yoke u-joint mounting. If there are U-Bolts holding the joint it is the smaller 1310, if strap and bolts are used then it is a 1330 joint size.

The GM #3889696 u-joints were for the rear half shafts ONLY. That part number was discontinued more than 35 years ago and superceded numerous times.

Thanks Joe. I'm referencing an old Mitchell book for replacement parts.
