    70 LS5 Front coil springs

I didn't get a chance to measure ride height before disassembling the front end. Is it a good idea to replace with new springs or will the front end sit higher?

If the springs are in good condition with no serious corrosion damage (e.g. pitting), your best bet would be to re-use them.

When I rebuilt/restored the front suspension on my '70, I replaced just about every service part but kept my old front springs. The front ride height remained within specs.

When I rebuilt/restored my rear suspension, I replaced the original spring with a new aftermarket composite unit because I thought it would improve the ride. Now rear ride height is almost 1" too high.
