    C2 carpet installation

    I'm restoring a 1967 coupe and I would like to know if it is necessary to glue the jute underlayment to the body?
    Is it necessary to fasten the carpet to the underlayment? I've purchased new carpet. Will it just "fall" in place?

      Check your AIM. Jute was glued to carpet. Small amount of glue used in specific locations, not entire carpet..... Some carpet kits have jute already glued to carpet.

          Bruce, I would glue it lightly to floor on the front left and right only, getting in and out of car so many times will cause movement of underlayment and carpets.
