1965 air conditioned verses non-air conditioned cowl differences?

    Hello Everyone,
Can anyone tell me if two cars were sitting side by side with completely stripped out cowls is there any differences in an air conditioned cowl verses a non-air conditioned cowl? I am trying to determine if there are any differences if any between them and how I could identify an air car that was stripped of all mechanical components.
Thank You in advance for any help!

Charles, there is a definite difference. If you have the AIM go to the C60 section. There are specific instructions to the body shop on what brackets to install, what brackets not to install and how big a hole to cut to accommodate the A/C engine side evaporator box.

All C2 cowls were formed for non-A/C cars. They needed to be altered when the car was ordered with A/C. It is hard but you can tell a car with A/C that was not born with A/C with all the A/C components installed.

Harry, I wanted to thank you for taking the time to respond to my question. Your response confirmed what I thought but a confirmation was important.
