I broke one of the outlet terminals on my 1970's 5 port washer pump. It broke near the base of outlets. Anyone have a recommendation to attach the broken outlet to its base?

Re: 1970 5 port washer pump
Jim, I've repaired several successfully and they have been durable.
Find the smallest copper tubing you can (I think it's the kind they used to use for older refrigerator ice makers). IIRC, it'll be just a hair too big to slide in the broken nipple and base, so you'll have to carefully drill the holes slightly larger, but you still want a pretty tight fit. Slide the tubing of an appropriate length through the nipple, then slide it into the base, connecting and gluing the plastic parts together.
The tubing gives it the extra support it needs, and if the break is clean the fix is virtually undetectable. Even if it's a bit noticeable, you can usually slide the washer tubing far enough down to hide it.
Good luck- Top

Some pics. Looks like I used copper oil pressure gauge tubing. First pic shows tubing and lower right nipple repaired, second shows same repair from back of base, third, another different 5 port with top two nipples repaired. It really works well.- Top
